Tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 10)

The side event will present IUCN's views on how to enhance implementation of CBD/POWPA in a post-2010 context as a tool to strengthen protected areas planning and management for biodiversity conservation, sustainable livelihoods and climate change mitigation and adaptation. The side event will be based on IUCN and WCPA work and lessons learned on these issues worldwide.
