Tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 10)

Managing protected areas as part of an integrated, connected landscape has gained momentum as an approach that delivers multiple benefits, including conserving biodiversity, securing local livelihoods, and strengthening the resilience of natural and human communities to the impacts of climate change. This side event will summarize challenges, successes and key emerging issues in landscape-scale conservation, and will highlight lessons learned from WCS, UNDP and WCPA-supported case studies around the world.
