In preparation for COP10, many civil society groups working around the CBD, facilitated by the CBD Alliance, joined together to identify the 10 most critical issues to be resolved at COP 10 from a civil society perspective. This side event will feature speakers from North and South, small and large, community and international organizations, to present these issues, and outline what outcomes society groups are seeking at COP 10. This side event is thus organized to be held on the first day of COP 10 (Monday) so that Parties and the Media can be informed regarding civil society’s main concerns at this key CBD negotiation, in this the International Year of Biodiversity.
