<br>Is it feasible to set up regional networks of protected areas? <br>How does the EU support its developing country partners? <br><br> European countries have been working together since 1992 to safeguard Europe’s most valuable wildlife sites by setting up a network called NATURA 2000. In this workshop we will share with you our experience and the challenges we face. <br><br>A general overview by the European Commission will be followed by examples from two existing Member States and a country joining the EU. The meeting will also provide information about the European Union’s support for protected area conservation elsewhere in the world. <br><br> <b>LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED</b>
