Notification 2007-141, the Executive Secretary advised eligible Parties that financial support had been made available from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) through a medium-sized project jointly managed by UNDP and UNEP for national assessment of progress towards the 2010 Biodiversity Target, including the preparation of the fourth national reports.

Notification 2009-04-27, the Executive Secretary informed eligible Parties that Phase III of a medium-sized project had been recently approved by the Global Environment Facility to further fund the preparation of the fourth national report. This project is being managed by the offices of the UNEP GEF Division.
Application Procedure
To apply for funds, a request from the CBD National Focal Point, together with a letter of endorsement from the national GEF Operational Focal Point, should be sent to Ms. Esther Mwangi, UNEP DGEF. In submitting the country request, Parties are invited to use the appropriate project templates or forms below that are required for approval of funds.
