Celebrations of the International Day for Biodiversity were marked in Prokop Valley. Parents and children took part in a day of activities. Participants were first invited to partake in bird watching exercises. Later they were able to explore the botanical workshops that had been set up. Visitors learned how to identify various plants and flowers that are found in the area. They were also invited to identify different types of herbs by smell alone. Participants were later led on a trek through the valley by an expert. This tour focused on how to protect nature found in their surroundings. Read more.
