To celebrate the International Day for Biodiversity organizers arranged activities around the theme of marine biodiversity. The goal of the event was to raise awareness about the importance of protecting marine life. On the day of the event scuba divers met at the Natural Park of Arribida. After some discussion about the biodiversity found in the waters the scuba divers where taught some techniques for identifying and recording different types of marine species. Once the afternoon of underwater exploration was complete the participants met to discuss the role they could play in protecting marine biodiversity. Read more.
