Young Volunteers for Environment Ethiopia
We celebrated our second year running #IDB2014 in Ethiopia by organizing small educational events across schools in Addis Ababa city to raise awareness amongst youth of Ethiopia to make them take active role in the process of protecting biodiversity from the unprecedented loss we are seeing across the country and the world, and to help in the process of achieving our mutual goal of halting the loss. We will also take our campaign over twitter via the hashtag #IDB2014 using our threads @YVEthiopia and @MEthioVeg.
The Executive Director of YVE Ethiopia is also on the Steering Committee member of Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN), which seeks to represent youth within the CBD process and is in plan to organize a global youth biodiversity summit in line with COP 12 in PeyongChang, Korea.
