Global Landscapes Forum - Biodiversity Digital Conference, 28-29 October 2020

Dear Madam/Sir, I have the pleasure to announce that the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) is partnering with the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) to support the organization of the Global Landscapes Forum Biodiversity Digital Conference: One World – One Health (https://events.globalla)ndscapesforum.org/biodiversity-2020/), to be held virtually on 28-29 October 2020. This conference is an opportunity to join thousands of biodiversity experts, scientists, policymakers, journalists, activists, private sector and indigenous groups to learn how the world’s leading organizations are uniting in the wake of COVID-19 to conserve and protect the world’s disappearing biodiversity. This two-day event will reach tens of millions of people, spotlight ecosystem restoration and contribute to the post-2020 global biodiversity framework. The agenda and other documents are available on the Global Landscapes Forum website at https://events.globallandscapesforum.org/biodiversity-2020/. Focal Points are invited to participate in this conference and will be provided with access free of charge, including an informal space for discussion. Those interested in participating can contact the Secretariat at secretariat@cbd.int to receive a unique code for free access, and then register directly, using that code, at https://events.globallandscapesforum.org/biodiversity-2020/register/now/. Registrations should be made as soon as possible and no later than 23 October 2020. I look forward to your active participation in the Conference and take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support to the work of the Convention. Please accept, Madam/Sir, the assurances of my highest consideration.
