Additional logistics information regarding the Information workshop on the work of the ad hoc technical expert groups on indicators, synthetic biology and risk assessment, 11 May 2024 - Nairobi, Kenya

Dear Sir or Madam,

 

Reference is made to notification 2024-017, dated 20 February 2024, regarding the information workshop on the work of the ad hoc technical expert groups on indicators for the monitoring framework of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, synthetic biology and risk assessment, which will be held on 11 May 2024, immediately prior to the twenty-sixth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA 26) in Nairobi, Kenya. As indicated in the above-mentioned notification, this workshop will inform delegates’ deliberations on three agenda items of the Subsidiary Body: the monitoring framework (item 3), synthetic biology (item 5), and risk assessment (item 6).

This workshop will be held in English and will be streamed for online viewing. Those who wish to follow the workshop online are encouraged to register using this Microsoft Teams link. In-person participants are reminded to arrive early at the venue to register and get their meeting badge in time for the workshop that will open at 9:30 a.m.

 

Additionally, I wish to remind delegates that the ad hoc technical expert group on indicators for the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework has conducted a series of webinars on the indicators’ guidance. The webinars have been recorded and are available on the webpage for the ad hoc technical expert group on indicators.
