Postponement of the Capacity-building workshop for the Small Island Developing States of the Pacific and Indian Ocean to support implementation of Invasive Alien Species, 7-11 December 2015 - Nadi, Fiji

Dear Madam/Sir, The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity regrets to announce that, due to unforeseen circumstances, the above workshop has been postponed to a date in 2016 still to be determined. I appreciate the nominations submitted by Parties and the significant preparations made by the Government of Fiji and partners such as the Secretariat of the Pacific Region Environment Programme, the United Nations Environment Programme, as well as other United Nations organizations and non-governmental organizations for this workshop. The nominations received and partnerships developed will be kept for the workshop’s next iteration. The new dates of the workshop will be communicated in due course. I take this opportunity to invite Parties that have not submitted their nominations to please refer to notification 2015-102 and to send them as soon as possible. Please accept, Madam/Sir, the assurances of my highest consideration.
