Notification 2004-070

As a contribution to the implementation of the Strategy, in particular Target 15 on “Building capacity for the conservation of plant diversity”, and in the broader context of the global initiative on communication, education and public awareness, funding has been sought to bring together plant conservation practitioners in Africa, for a training course. The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, jointly with the Makerere University of Uganda, is organizing this course to be held in Kampala, Uganda from 10 October to 03 November 2004, with support from Botanical Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) and the CBD Secretariat.
