Notification 2006-016

Dear Madam/Sir, I have the honor to refer to Notification 2006-011, dated 10 February 2006, regarding financial assistance to indigenous and local community participants in the Eighth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, to be held in Curitiba, Brazil from 20 to 31 March 2006. I am pleased to inform Parties that the selection of funded participants to the above-mentioned meeting has been completed. The selection was made according to applications received taking into account expertise, equitable geographic representation and gender balance.
