Dear Madam/Sir, I am pleased to inform you that, pursuant to Decision VIII/5 of the Conference of the Parties, the Fifth Meeting of the Ad Hoc Open-ended Working Group on Article 8(j) and Related Provisions will be held in Montreal, Canada, from 15 to 19 October 2007. The provisional agenda is attached for your information. The annotated provisional agenda and the Information Note for Participants will be available shortly on the CBD web site at the following address: http://www.cbd.int/meetings/default.shtml In view of your interest in the issues addressed by the Working Group, I have the honour of inviting your organization to nominate a representative to attend.
