Notification 2011-163

Dear Madam/Sir, As you will recall, in decision X/7, the Conference of the Parties requested the Executive Secretary to convene a meeting of an Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group (AHTEG) on Indicators for the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 and to report to the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA) prior to its fifteenth meeting. This meeting was convened from 20 to 24 June 2011 in High Wycombe, United Kingdom with the generous support of the European Union and I am pleased to inform you that the report of the meeting has been made available at https://www.cbd.int/doc/?meeting=AHTEG-SP-IND-01. I would like to invite you to send any comments you may have on the report at your earliest convenience but no later than 15 October 2011. The results of the AHTEG were used in the preparation of the document on “Suggested Indicators for the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 and the Aichi Biodiversity Targets” (UNEP/CBD/SBSTTA/15/2) which will be discussed during the fifteenth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific and Technical Advice (SBSTTA15).
