Dear Madam/Sir, I am pleased to inform you that draft documentation prepared by the Secretariat for consideration by the seventeenth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA 17) is being made available for peer review at: http://www.cbd.int/sbstta/preparation. Please send your suggested changes and comments to the Secretariat by e-mail (secretariat@cbd.int) or fax (+1 514 288 6588) using the template provided in the Annex and accessible in electronic form from the peer review page. The deadline for submitting comments is 15 July 2013. Following that date, documents will be revised, edited and submitted for translation. Please note that these documents are unedited drafts, for comments only, and not for citation or other uses. The following documents will be posted as soon as they are finalized: Also available for review are two documents related to synthetic biology, prepared in response to decision XI/11 and foreseen to be considered at SBSTTA 18.
