Dear Madam/Sir, As part of the ongoing cooperation between the secretariats of the Convention on Biological Diversity and the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF), I am pleased to attach herewith, for your information, three calls for proposals and nomination from the GBIF Secretariat: i. GBIF Capacity Enhancement Support Programme (deadline 26 May 2014); ii. Ebbe Nielsen Prize 2014 (deadline 31 May 2014); and iii. GBIF Young Researchers Award (deadline 31 May 2014). The GBIF Secretariat invites countries, organizations and economies currently participating in GBIF through signature of the MOU (see list at: http://www.gbif.org/participation/list) to apply for the above listed opportunities to enhance the valued activities in biodiversity informatics.
