Selected Experts for the CBD Expert workshop to Provide Consolidated Practical Guidance and a Toolkit for Marine Spatial Planning, 9 to 11 September 2014, Montreal, Canada

Dear Madam/Sir, In notification number 2014-068, dated 6 May 2014, the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity invited Parties, other Governments, indigenous and local communities and relevant organizations to nominate experts to participate in the CBD Expert workshop to Provide Consolidated Practical Guidance and a Toolkit for Marine Spatial Planning and its Impacts on Marine and Coastal Biodiversity, to be held from 9 to 11 September 2014, Montreal, Canada. In this regard, I am pleased to announce that the selection of experts has been completed in accordance with the selection criteria described in the above-mentioned notification. The list of selected experts is attached in the annex. The Secretariat will provide financial assistance to selected experts representing developing country Parties. Please accept, Madam/Sir, the assurances of my highest consideration.
