Dear Madam/Sir, The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity is pleased to invite Parties, other Governments, organizations and representatives of indigenous peoples and local communities to organize press conferences at the margins of the meetings of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity and its Protocols. All press conference requests should be submitted to Mr. Johan Hedlund by e-mail at: johan.hedlund@cbd.int or by fax: at +1(514)288-6588, using the request form accessible at: www.cbd.int/cop/cop-14/media/media-press-conference-request.doc. To better prepare for your press conference, and to ensure the smooth and efficient conduct of media events during the meetings, it is highly recommended that all press conference organizers read the FAQs and instructions, which can be found in the same link above. The Secretariat will make every effort to accommodate all requests. However, due to the potentially high number of submissions, scheduling may require flexibility on the part of press conference organizers.
