Dear Madam/Sir, Further to Notification 2021-048 (https://www.cbd.int/doc/notifications/2021/ntf-2021-048-financial-en.pdf) issued on 9 July 2021, this is to inform Parties to the Convention and its Protocols that the deadline for submissions to the survey has been extended by two weeks. The Secretariat would like to thank all Parties that have made their submissions and to invite those Parties eligible to receive GEF support, that have not yet done so, to provide their submission by e-mail to secretariat@cbd.int as soon as possible, but no later than 1 October 2021. The questionnaire and a note providing guidance on its completion are available at the following webpage: https://www.cbd.int/financial/gef8needs.shtml. The webpage also provides other information relevant to the assessment of funding needs for the implementation of the Convention and its Protocols for the eighth replenishment period (July 2022 to June 2026) of the Trust Fund of the GEF, including notification 2021-048 in French and Spanish. For additional guidance and support, please contact the members of the expert team whose details are provided in the afore-referenced guidance note.
