Dear Madam/Sir, Reference is made to the fifth meeting of the Open-ended Working Group on the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework, as well as the Fifteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties and concurrent meetings of the Parties to the Cartagena and Nagoya Protocols, to take place on 3-5 December and 7-19 December 2022, respectively, in Montreal, Canada. Further to notifications 2022-045 (https://www.cbd.int/doc/notifications/2022/ntf-2022-045-cop15-en.pdf), 2022-048 (https://www.cbd.int/doc/notifications/2022/ntf-2022-048-cop15-en.pdf) and 2022-049 (https://www.cbd.int/doc/notifications/2022/ntf-2022-049-cop15-en.pdf), I wish to once again urge all Parties and observers to ensure complete registration and related actions as soon as possible. In particular, I would like to draw attention to the following points in relation to the visa, accommodation and other logistical matters. I would like to urge all prospective delegates who may require an entry visa to Canada to initiate their request immediately. Please also note the deadline of 30 September 2022 for: (i) accreditation of any new observer organizations; (ii) side-event requests; and (iii) exhibition booth/stand requests. Finally, delegates are kindly reminded to book their hotel accommodation as soon as possible through the dedicated COP 15 online booking system accessible at: http://cop15.gvq.ca, in order to take advantage of the special negotiated rates, as well as the block booking option to accommodate large delegations to stay in one hotel.
