Notification 2023-002

Dear Madam/Sir, I wish to draw the attention of Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity and its Protocols to notification EM/2023/01 that has recently been issued by the Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), regarding the opportunity to participate in the first external review of the thematic assessment of the interlinkages among biodiversity, water, food and health (nexus assessment). Considering the relevance of this IPBES deliverable for the work of the Convention on Biological Diversity and its Protocols, I encourage all Parties and observers to the Convention and its Protocols to participate in this review, which is open until 19 February 2023. Experts wishing to participate in the review processes need to first register at the IPBES website: https://ipbes.net/user/register, if they have not already done so.
