Extension of deadline: Nominations for the Informal Advisory Committee to the Access and Benefit-sharing Clearing-House under the Nagoya Protocol

Dear Madam/Sir, Reference is made to notification 2023-009 (https://www.cbd.int/doc/notifications/2023/ntf-2023-009-abs-en.pdf), issued on 9 February 2023, inviting Parties to the Nagoya Protocol to nominate an expert for the Informal Advisory Committee (IAC) to the Access and Benefit-sharing Clearing-House under the Nagoya Protocol, established by the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Nagoya Protocol (COP-MOP), in decision NP-1/2. I would like to thank Parties who have submitted nominations and invite those who have not yet done so to submit their nominations as soon as possible. I am pleased to inform you that the deadline to submit nominations has been extended to 28 April 2023. Kindly note that nominations should be sent through an official letter addressed to the Executive Secretary, together with the CV, as well as duly completed nomination form and interest disclosure form by e-mail to secretariat@cbd.int. The members of the IAC will be selected among the nominees based on relevant expertise, taking into account the need to ensure fair and equitable geographical distribution, as well as gender balance.
