Guidelines on messages from civil society, organizations, businesses and individuals

The international community is counting the days before the new global biodiversity framework is adopted at the UN Biodiversity Conference #COP15.

Every remaining day before the UN Biodiversity Conference counts to make your voice heard loud and clear: Let the world know that you wish for a strong global biodiversity framework that will “bend the curve” on biodiversity loss. Let the world know that you care about your future!

The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity is soliciting short videos and written messages from all regions of the world with the notion that together we are building a shared future for all life on Earth. And we want to know what this means to you.

The plan is to roll these messages out across the different time zones, thereby emphasizing hope, solidarity and the importance of working together at all levels to build a future of life in harmony with nature.

Here is how civil society, organizations, businesses and individuals can submit messages.

Guidelines

Please submit your message through the form below.

Messages could...

  • build public interest and support for a robust new global biodiversity framework.
  • show what it means to you or your organization to build a shared future for all life on Earth. Emphasize hope and the importance of working together at all levels to make it happen.
  • create affection for biodiversity and for the word itself.

Once processed, the messages will appear on the community messages page.

Messages submitted after 17 May 2022 will be posted as soon as possible, but may not appear on the website in time for Biodiversity Day.

You are invited to post your messages on your own social media platforms with the hashtags #BiodiversityDay, #COP15 and #ForNature (hashtags are available in other languages). Please share these messages with us by tagging us @UNBiodiversity. Due to the high volume of messages, we may not be able to share all messages, we apologize in advance.
