Microphones for contact groups  

CR1 and combined CR3/4 will be used for contact groups.  Both CR1 and CR3/4 are equipped with programmable electronic name plates.

• United Nations organizations, intergovernmental organizations, indigenous peoples and local communities organizations and all major stakeholder groups  will be allocated seating sections in both contact group rooms by category and not by organization name.
• Governments are kindly requested to consult the information below (scroll down), which provides a list of each country’s login code, and step-by-step instructions on how to program the electronic name plates. 

Please note that only one plate per Party can be used in the same room, and if the same number is entered from another seat within the same room, it will override the previous selection.  It is therefore important to coordinate amongst each Party with regard to who should activate their respective country plate. All major groups will be assigned rows in advance.
 

Login procedure on UNON Shure Conference systems

1. Obtain the login code(s) from the list below.

2. Tap the touchscreen to start the login process.

3. Enter the code obtained in Step 1.

4. Press Login A for the participant seated on the left or Login B for participant seated on the right. If you make an error while typing in the code, press the Clear button.
 

5. If the login is successful, you will be greeted by a Welcome message and the delegation name will also be displayed on the electronic nameplate.

6. Proceed to login the adjacent seat as required by answering the Prompt on the screen with a “Yes” and follow steps 3-5 above.
 

Note: In a controlled meeting, your mic will be active once the Chairperson has granted the floor and a green indicator appears next to your delegation’s name.
