Dear Madam/Sir, It was brought to our attention that the CBD Guidelines on Biodiversity and Tourism Development have recently been translated into Polish by the Polish Government. In light of the commitment by Parties to further enhance the implementation phase of the Convention, this is a welcomed initiative. It is important to translate the Guidelines and other similar implementation tools produced in the CBD framework in as many national languages as possible to unsure greater dissemination and application. Therefore, I take this opportunity to invite Parties that have prepared analogous translations in non-United Nations languages to inform the Secretariat so as to make them available through the Clearing-House Mechanism. In communicating translations to the Secretariat in Word format, please indicate the name of the original English document, the language in which it has been translated and kindly provide us with the related web links.
