Extension of deadline for submission of information on implementation of the programme of work on protected areas.
Dear Madam/Sir, The deadline for submission of information on implementation of the programme of work on protected areas has been extended to 31 March 2007. This extension takes into account the fact that the second meeting of the Ad Hoc Open-ended Working Group on Protected Areas is now scheduled to be held from 11 to 15 February 2008. As stated in the Notification 2006-080, dated 7 July 2006, Parties, other Governments, relevant organizations and other stakeholders are requested to submit information on implementation of the programme of work on protected areas. A strategic assessment of progress made, challenges/obstacles, and capacity-building needs for the implementation of the programme of work requires timely and quality information. Parties, other Governments, relevant organizations and other stakeholders may wish to make use of the matrix annexed to this notification to prepare their contribution.
