Dear Madam/Sir, I am pleased to invite you to provide input to the document being prepared for the fifteenth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA) under the agenda items on ways and means to improve the effectiveness of SBSTTA. As such, I am pleased to inform you of the online survey for SBSTTA Focal Points, available at: http://www.cbd.int/sbstta/survey2011/ The survey has been developed in response to decision X/12 of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity in order to assess the training needs of Focal Points to the SBSTTA as well as training needs for forthcomings meetings of the SBSTTA. The survey has been organized under headings drawn from the four main tasks for SBSTTA Focal Points as identified in Decision VIII/10 paragraph 21, as well as the Strategic Plan, and will be available until the 10 June, 2011. Please note that the survey is password protected, as such, please log in using your email address as the user name. An individual password will be sent to you shortly by email.
