Dear Madam/Sir, Further to notification 2013-056 (http://www.cbd.int/doc/notifications/2013/ntf-2013-056-business-en.pdf), I am pleased to invite you to participate in the webcast of the third meeting of the Global Partnership for Business and Biodiversity to be held in Montreal on 2 3 October 2013, organized jointly between the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Canadian Business and Biodiversity Council (CBBC). The purpose of the webcast is to inform you about the various issues under consideration in the business engagement agenda as well as to seek your inputs in the ongoing discussions. The webcast will begin with the opening plenary on 2 October at 9 a.m. and will be made accessible at the following link: http://www.cbd.int/live/. Please find the agenda of the meeting enclosed. In addition to the plenary sessions, the webcast will broadcast the following panel discussions: • Session #1 on Safeguards and Mechanisms on 2 October at 10.30 a.m.; • Session #2 on Retail and Consumer Goods on 2 October at 1.50 p.m.; and • Session #3 on Sustainable Public Procurement on 3 October at 9.30 a.m. Participants will be able to submit questions and comments during the webcast on the above mentioned website.
