Notification 2014-136

Dear Madam/Sir, Reference is made to notification 2014-127 (http://www.cbd.int/doc/notifications/2014/ntf-2014-127-abs-en.pdf), issued on 4 November 2014, inviting Parties to nominate one expert each for the Informal Advisory Committee of the Access and Benefit-sharing Clearing-House as soon as possible but no later than 15 December 2014. As of today, only four Parties have nominated their experts. Parties are kindly reminded to expedite the nomination of their experts. Based on the nominations received, the Executive Secretary will select participants for the Informal Advisory Committee meeting on the basis of their expertise, experience and engagement in the ABS Clearing-House, the need to ensure fair and equitable geographical distribution, as well as gender balance.
