High-Level Segment of the Thirteenth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity
Dear Madam/Sir, The Government of the United Mexican States will host the high-level segment of the thirteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity and the concurrent meetings of the Cartagena and Nagoya Protocols on 2 3 December 2016, in Cancun, Mexico. I am pleased to attach a draft of the Cancun Declaration, along with an explanatory note, provided by the Government of the United Mexican States, and which has been distributed through diplomatic channels. The draft declaration is being made available in the official languages of the United Nations on the Convention’s website (https://www.cbd.int/cop/preparation/cop13-hls/default.shtml). Comments are welcome and should be sent as soon as possible but no later than 12 September 2016 to juan.mateos@semarnat.hob.mx, aglender@sre.gob.mx and Enrique.lendo@semarnat.gob.mx.
