Peer review of draft documents for the tenth meeting of the Ad Hoc Open-ended Working Group on Article 8(j) and Related Provisions of the Convention on Biological Diversity

Dear Madam/Sir, Further to notification 2017-058, I am pleased to inform you that the draft documents entitled “Voluntary guidelines for the repatriation of traditional knowledge relevant to the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity” and “Integration of Article 8(j) and provisions related to indigenous peoples and local communities in the work of the Convention and its Protocols” are now available for review on the website of the Convention at https://www.cbd.int/sbstta21-wg8j10/review. The deadline for review comments is 14 August 2017. The final version of these documents will be considered by the tenth meeting of the Ad Hoc Open-ended Intersessional Working Group on Article 8(j) and related provisions, when it meets in Montreal, Canada, from 13 to 16 December 2017. In addition, please note that peer review drafts of other documents for consideration by tenth meeting of the Working Group will also be made available on the website of the Convention at https://www.cbd.int/sbstta21-wg8j10/review in due course. The deadline for the peer review of each document is available on the webpage. Please note that these documents are unedited drafts, for comments only, and not for citation or other uses.
