Dear Sir or Madam,

In its decision NP-5/5, the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization agreed to the methodology for the second assessment and review of the effectiveness of the Protocol.

 In accordance with the annex to the decision, the review of the implementation and operation of the Access and Benefit-sharing Clearing-House is among the elements to be considered. A targeted survey has been identified as one of the sources of information for this review. Pursuant to paragraph 20(c) of decision NP-3/1, the Executive Secretary is requested to seek feedback from all types of users of the Access and Benefit-sharing Clearing-House on its implementation and operation.

In light of the above, I am pleased to invite Parties, other Governments, indigenous peoples and local communities, women and youth representatives, relevant organizations and stakeholders to provide feedback on the implementation and operation of the ABS Clearing-House by filling out the following survey, available at: https://forms.office.com/e/ZnmdChHHeH, by 31 December 2025. 

The views received will be analyzed and synthesized as part of the assessment and review process described in decision NP-5/5.
