Notification 2026-053

Dear Sir or Madam,

In follow-up to notification 2025-131 of 19 October 2025 on the same topic, I am pleased to invite Parties, other Governments, governing bodies, convention secretariats and organizations to provide new, additional or complementary information on actions, activities and initiatives undertaken to support the implementation of decision 16/35 on cooperation with other conventions and international organizations, as outlined in Annex to this notification.

To support the timely preparation of documents to be made available for consideration at the seventeenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Secretariat invites submissions before 21 July 2026 through the central portal of the clearing-house mechanism using this link. Should technical problems prevent the use of the clearing-house mechanism portal, contributions may be sent through an official letter addressed to the Executive Secretary, by e-mail to secretariat@cbd.int. 

I take this opportunity to thank Parties, other Governments, convention secretariats and other organizations that submitted information in response to notification 2025-131, which was made available on the clearing-house mechanism of the Convention ahead of the sixth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Implementation to the Convention. Your inputs provided valuable insights on cooperation activities implemented before 20 November 2025 and were invaluable to the work of the intersessional meetings of the Convention.
