Notification 2026-060

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing in connection with notification 2026-055 on the modalities for the early submission of statements for SBSTTA-28 and SBI-7. 

Due to the issuance of the revised draft of the Global Report on collective progress  in the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (CBD/SBSTTA/28/2/Add.1/Rev.1) reflecting the changes from the peer review process, under agenda item 3 of SBSTTA-28, I would like to inform Parties, other Governments, indigenous peoples and local communities and relevant organizations that the SBSTTA Bureau, at its meeting held on 26 July 2026, agreed to extend the deadline for the early submission of statements for this agenda item only to 23:59 (Nairobi time) today, 26 July 2026. 

The deadline for the submission of statements for the rest of the agenda items for SBSTTA-28 remains 20:00 (Nairobi time) today, 26 July 2026.

Kindly refer to the above-mentioned notification for further information on the modalities for the early submission of statements as well as instructions on how to upload statements through the meeting webpage.
