Peer review of draft documents related to marine and coastal biodiversity

Under agenda item 4.1. SBSTTA-20 will consider the description of ecologically or biologically significant marine areas (EBSAs). A draft training manual to enhance the participation of indigenous peoples and local communities in the regional workshops to facilitate the EBSA descriptions and the the application of scientific criteria in annex I of decision IX/20 has been prepared and is available for peer review:

• Training Manual on Incorporation of Traditional Knowledge into the Description and Identification of Areas Meeting the Scientific Criteria for Ecologically or Biologically Significant Areas (EBSAs);
