Symposium on International Day for Biological Diversity 2022 - Building a shared future for all life
Location: Online (Zoom) with interpretation in Japanese and English
Along with the theme of the International Day for Biological Diversity 2022, the symposium shared trends on the global and national (Japan) level, covering updates from the first part of COP15 to the "Post-2020 Biodiversity Framework" which will be adopted during the second part of COP15 to be held in Kunming (China) in 2022. Furthermore, while introducing global policy trends, speakers presented case studies and outcomes of actions from local communities and from the youth in the field of biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration. The symposium outlined ways of accelerating local actions along with international policy discussions.

5月22日は国際生物多様性の日。これを記念しUNU-IAS OUIKは、金沢における、人と自然の繋がりを紹介する生物文化多様性バーチャルツアーを実施します。 To commemorate the International Day for Biological Diversity 2021, Operating Unit Ishikawa/Kanazawa, UNU-IAS (OUIK), will host a virtual biodiversity tour to introduce the local practices at Kanazawa City, Japan, that contribute to the sustainability of urban ecosystem and biodiversity and provide the opportunity to reflect on the link between people and nature. |
