Happy International Day for Biological Diversity!
Today we celebrate the International Day for Biological Diversity. Agricultural and forest biodiversity is a crucial resource to improve sustainability, ecosystems, nutrition and livelihoods.

Bioversity International celebrates smallholder farmers who are using and conserving vital biodiversity around the world. The 2 billion smallholder farmers who live in developing countries collectively produce some 60% of the world’s food. Smallholder farmers, often women, are the custodians of a significant portion of the world’s agricultural and forest biodiversity, playing a vital role in managing ecosystems and maintaining traditional knowledge.

Join us on a journey around the world in three short videos featuring research examples of our work with partners and farmers in Bolivia, Kenya and India.

We invite you to learn more about our work on our website / blog.
