Dear Madam/Sir, I am writing to draw your attention to recommendation I/6 on resource mobilization, adopted by the first meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Implementation, and made available at https://www.cbd.int/doc/?meeting=SBI-01. Noting the limited number of completed financial reporting frameworks that were received pursuant to decision XII/3 on resource mobilization (notifications 2015-067 of 3 June 2015 and 2015-134 of 23 November 2015), the Subsidiary Body urged Parties that have not yet done so to report, using the financial reporting framework, where feasible by 31 August 2016. It also invited Parties, with a view to improving transparency and enabling replicability and the development of methodological guidance, to make available, through the financial reporting framework, any additional national methodological information and definitions used. The financial reporting framework is available under the following link: https://chm.cbd.int/submit/resourceMobilisation. Kindly refer to the annex for additional technical information. Please note that question 5 of the financial reporting framework includes reporting of funding needs. In this regard, you may also wish to take into consideration, as appropriate, your response to the Questionnaire regarding Funding Needs for the Implementation of the Convention and its Protocols for the Seventh Replenishment Period (July 2018 - June 2022) of the Global Environment Facility Trust Fund. Kindly submit the requested information at your earliest convenience but no later than 31 August 2016.
