Dear Madam/Sir, I am pleased to inform you that applications to book exhibition space at the margins of the meetings are now being accepted and the deadline for submissions will be 26 September 2016. Exhibitors are encouraged to reflect the theme of this year’s COP, “Mainstreaming Biodiversity for Well-being”, when planning and designing their exhibitions. Please refer to the information available at https://www.cbd.int/cop/cop-13/exhibition/cop-13-exhibition-registration-info.pdf for details and the process for submission of requests. Please note also that there are options for exhibition spaces in two venues: (a) the Cancun International Convention Centre, in the heart of Cancun’s touristic zone, off-site and open to the general public, and (b) the Moon Palace Arena, located in the official meetings venue, where access will be limited to registered and accredited meeting participants. Kindly also note that, if the number of requests exceeds the number of spaces available, the Secretariat, in consultation with the host Government, will conduct a selection process, giving priority to those that demonstrate the theme of this year’s COP in their proposals.
