The terms of reference of the informal advisory group are provided in annex III to the same decision. I would like to thank Parties, indigenous peoples and local communities and relevant organizations that have already submitted nominations and wish to remind those that have not yet done so to nominate experts before the deadline. As stated in notification 2023-010, members will be selected on the basis of the following criteria: (a) At least five years of working experience on technical and scientific issues related to the implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity and/or other relevant international agreements and processes; (b) Expertise relevant to technical and scientific cooperation, capacity-building and development, and knowledge management and the clearing-house mechanism or similar online information-sharing platforms; and c) Demonstrated experience with regional or international cooperation processes and programmes related to biodiversity and/or the environment. To assist in submission and selection, a nomination form is provided below that should be completed and submitted together with a signed official letter and the curriculum vitae of the nominee. In line with decision 14/33, nominees are also required to complete the interest disclosure form (available at: https://www.cbd.int/doc/forms/conflict-interest-form-en.pdf). The official letter should be addressed to the Executive Secretary and sent, along with the supporting documents, by e-mail (secretariat@cbd.int) as soon as possible but no later than 15 March 2023.
