18th Bealtaine Living Earth Festival 13-22nd of May!
![]()
Free guided walks, talks and workshops in Waterford, Wexford, Kilkenny and Tipperary. The Bealtaine Living Earth Festival celebrates biodiversity and the rich natural heritage in Ireland, predominantly in the South-East region. Founded in 2005 by Calmast, South East Technological University’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths Engagement Centre, the festival has grown into a cooperative partnership of over 40 organisations (public bodies, visitor centres, NGOs) and individuals and includes a wide variety of events for everyone, school pupils, families, adults, young and old. Bealtaine Living Earth Festival always includes the UN’s International Day for Biological Diversity on 22nd May. This year’s theme “From Agreement to Action: Build Back Biodiversity” has been chosen to reflect both the celebratory nature of what was achieved at COP 15, as well as the urgency of what still needs to be done in terms of implementation.
