Vratsa celebrated the International Biodiversity Day on May 28 (Monday) at 2:30 pm at the Information Center of Inspection together with students from PEG "Ioan Ekzarh". Experts from Biodiversity, Protected Areas and Zones talkedl about the flora and fauna in the area and were shown a film about the Vratsa karst reserve. Students learned more about bees and their significance for nature and people. In 2017, the United Nations General Assembly in New York, by resolution, announced May 20 as World Bee Day. For nearly 100 million years, bees provide reproduction of flowering plants, which account for over 85% of all plants, and therefore ensure biodiversity on the ground.
