The Global Mechanism (GM) of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) is assisting developing countries in the design and implementation of comprehensive strategies for mobilizing traditional and innovative financial resources for initiatives that contribute to the synergistic implementation of the Rio Conventions. This event will provide an opportunity to UNCBD stakeholders to learn more about GM’s approach and country level experience, as well as engage in an interactive discussion on the potential return of applying this approach when developing resource mobilization strategies for biodiversity.
