Eighth Ordinary Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 8)

A short symposium with presentations on the importance of SDRs on the conservation of biodiversity and poverty alleviation in the Brazilian Amazonia. Speakers will include representatives of four Sustainable Development Reserves (Cujubim and Mamirauá, in the Amazonas State, Iratapuru in Amapá State, and Itatupã-Baquiá, in Pará State) plus scientists and government agencies, followed by a book and website launch.
