Constructing a Global Environmental Citizenship in South and Central America, and in the Caribean Region

The Commission of Education and Environmental Communication of the World Conservation Union (IUCN/CEC) comprises of the Project of Global Environmental Citizenship, supported by the Global Environmental Facilities, and the PNUMA/ORPALC, executed by six international networks of civil society and the governments of Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru. The event will present/display a reflection and the contributions of this project, that focuses so much to environmental governmental authorities, local authorities, parliamentary, educational community of schools and other environmental educators, social communicators, religios signallers of diverse churches and consumers. The project focuses the application of four international conventions: Biodiversity, Global Heating, International Waters and Ozone Layer. In the event one will be how it is possible to generate sinergia between this diversity of actors, treating of which the responsibilities of the conservation of the biodiversity involve diverse actors, under a concept of institutional and citizen coresponsibility.
