This side event has the objective of evaluating international funding mechanisms for biodiversity conservation in indigenous lands. As such, it will discuss the current strategies of the GEF (Global Environment Facility) and other multilateral and bilateral institutions for biodiversity conservation in indigenous lands. It will also present the Brazilian experience in the development of the GEF Full-Size Project for biodiversity conservation in indigenous lands.
