In this side event, Indigenous Peoples representatives will present their contribution to the conservation of biodiversity for centuries and their key views and proposals on Target 3 of the first draft the GBF about the increase at least 30 per cent globally of protected areas and other effective area-based conservation measures. The side event will also engage in discussions about Indigenous Peoples vision to achieve 2050 goals to live in harmony with nature with the recognition and support of land, territories, waters and resources.
