This side event will highlight examples of successful technical and scientific cooperation projects supporting the implementation of the Convention and its Protocols. Representatives from a number of technical and scientific projects funded by the Bio-Bridge Initiative (BBI) will present their achievements to date and the impact that BBI support has had on their work. The presentations will be followed by a discussion on the role of technical and scientific cooperation, and the ways and opportunities to advance it in support of the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework. The event is organized by the CBD Secretariat in collaboration with the Governement of the Republic of South Korea.
