The side event will bring together leading international standard setters and initiatives currently defining how meaningful biodiversity reporting and accounting can be implemented. Corporate reporting standards provide an important mechanism for mainstreaming biodiversity into corporate and financial decision-making. This is fundamental for creating transparency required to translate globally agreed biodiversity targets into business action and ultimately a more sustainable economic system.
